You can perform quick data exporting from your list view into various formats for the sake of further deploying on other instances.
In SimpleOne, you can export your list into Excel and JSON formats.
To export a list, please complete the steps below:
- Navigate to the list you need to export.
- (optional) Customize it using a List layout (you need to have admin privileges for this) or a Personal list layout to have just the needed set of columns displayed in the preferred order.
- Filter out a list with Condition Builder if necessary.
- Click on the title area of the list and select the Export to Excel or Export to JSON items (depending on the required format) in the context menu.
After that, the file will be downloaded to your computer.
For data consistency purposes
- Please note that if you export data from the child dictionary or the related list, perform this from the appropriate list view.
- Excel exporting tool gathers data only from columns displayed on the dictionary list view. So if an exported dictionary list view contained an incomplete column set, then the final data may be inconsistent after importing on a target instance.
- Fields of the Reference type should be shown as their ID to be exported. These values can be displayed on the list view with Dot-walking. For example:
- To export reference values of the Caller field, add the Caller → ID field on the list view.
