In SimpleOne, configuring the list layout allows changing the list appearance. You can configure which columns appear in the list, their order, and create list views.

To change a list layout, complete the steps below: 

  1. Open the list you need to reconfigure.
  2. On the list form, enter the hamburger menu and select Configure → List Layout to open the List layout configure menu. 
  3. Configure your list view with the Available and Selected heapselects.
  4. Click Save to apply changes and leave the configure menu.

If you leave the configure menu without clicking the Save button, then the pop-up window will appear. Click OK to save changes or click Cancel to discard them.


The Available heapselect contains all the table fields that can be embedded in the list by adding them to the Selected heapselect. Move elements by drag-and-dropping or using the  and   buttons.

  • To remove or add all the fields, click the  or  buttons.
  • To move several elements in a row, select them with the Shift key pressed and drag-and-drop from the Available heapselect to the Selected one.
  • To move several scattered elements at once, select them with the Ctrl key pressed and drag-and-drop from the Available heapselect to the Selected one.

Elements marked green support Dot-walking within. You can add such an element itself, or you can click on the plus sign, browse through the hierarchy, and add one of the elements below.

In SimpleOne, you can create separate list views with separate sets of columns for various tasks.

When building list layouts, please keep in mind that the value in the first column will always lead to the record related to this list row.

Creating new views

To create a separate view, please complete the steps below:

  1. On the list form, enter the hamburger menu and select Configure → List Layout to open the List layout configure menu.
  2. On the List view area, click Add New next to the View Name field.
  3. In the modal window appeared, enter the desired view name and click Create.
  4. Configure the fields to display by moving them from the Available to Selected heapselect.
  5. Click Save to apply changes and leave the configure menu.

If you leave the configure menu without clicking the Save button, then the pop-up window will appear. Click OK to save changes or click Cancel to discard them.

Filtering

The data on the list view can be filtered in two ways:

There are two types of the quick filter forms:

  • Text search field
  • Choice search field.

In the text search field, you can perform a text search in this column. All fields containing matches will be displayed.

If you are using the choice search field, then you can perform searches for the values matching with the choice options.

Sorting by columns

You can sort your list view in ascending or descending order for any column. For this, just click on the selected column title.

Show Matching

This functionality allows filtering fields that match with the field selected on the list view. To filter these fields, right-click on a field and select Show Matching.

Filter Out

This functionality is opposite to Show Matching. It filters the fields that do not match with the field selected on the list view.

Export to Excel

This functionality allows exporting the list view into an Excel file, for further uses in various purposes. Please refer to the Quick Export article for more information.

Export to JSON

This functionality allows exporting the list view into a JSON-formatted file, for further uses in various purposes. Please refer to the Quick Export article for more information.

Charts

Pie Charts and Bar Charts are intended for visualization, information becomes more clearly. You can create a chart out of any column, just clicking on its title, but it makes more sense for the columns with digital data.
