Dashboard is a collection of previously created reports displaying information necessary for daily business tasks. Dashboards allow analyzing the data on a single page and sharing it with other users.

In SimpleOne, you can create reports of many types and customize their look. To learn more about creating reports, see the Create a Report article.

In the screenshot below, you can see an example:

Image AddedDashboards allow displaying multiple analytical data, such as reporting, on a single screen. Use dashboards to create a data set with that you can share with other users.


Creating a dashboard


  1. Navigate to Dashboards → Create New.
  2. Fill in the formfields.
  3. Click Save or Save and Exit to apply changes.

Specify the interval for dashboard refreshing. Available options:

  • 30 seconds

After saving the record, the following UI actions appear:

  • Add to Navigator – add this dashboard to the
navigator panel by clicking Add to Navigator button. In this case, the menu item is
  • Navigation menu. A new menu item will be added to the Dashboards category and is visible to all users.

Notetip

The Add to Navigator UI action is visible only for users with the admin role. In other words, adding a dashboard to the navigator panel requires admin privileges.

Managing a single dashboard

Managing a dashboard is adding or removing items or elements from it.


Adding a report

To add a report to a dashboard, perform the following stepsFor example, you can add one more report to your dashboard. To perform this, please complete the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your dashboard via the Dashboard Dashboards category menu item or open the record via Dashboard → All Dashboards.
  2. Scroll down to the Report Item related list Related Lists area and click the Dashboard Element tab.
  3. Click New and fill in the fields.
  4. Click Save or Save and Exit to apply changes.Dashboard - a dashboard

Deleting a report

To delete a report from a dashboard, please complete perform the following steps below:

As mentioned above, dashboards generally are collections of previously prepared reports displaying some or other information necessary for daily business tasks. In SimpleOne, you can create reports of many types and in many looks. To know more about creating reports, please refer to the Create a Report article. After that, you'll be able to add these reports of any type to your dashboard
  1. Navigate to your dashboard via the Dashboard Dashboards category menu item or open the record via Dashboard → All Dashboards.
  2. Scroll down to the Report Item related listto the Related Lists area and click the Dashboard Element tab.
  3. Choose one or more items by checking the boxes on the left.
  4. Click Delete.
