You can upload a file to a form as an attachment either to the existing or to the newly created record (for example, an incident, a change request, or another type of record).

The attachment file size is not limited by default, but it can be done by editing the system properties as described below.

Add and manage attachments


File uploading

To upload a file as an attachment to some record, please complete the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the record.
  2. Click the attachments icon ().
  3. Click Browse to open the file browser and navigate to the file.
  4. Double-click on the file to add it to the form. You can also drag and drop it from the file browser to the form to attach.
    • To add multiple files, please repeat these steps.
  5. Attached files appear at the top of the form (the attachment icon is followed with a number representing the number of attachments).
  6. Close the pop-up window to return to the record.

File deleting

To delete an attachment that was uploaded earlier, please complete the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the record.
  2. Click the attachments icon at the top of the page.
  3. Click the trashcan icon () to delete the attachment.


When attaching a file to the new record that hasn't been saved yet, it's not entirely different from attaching to existing ones.

In this case, attach a file to a created record using a clip icon on a form, and after saving, the ID of the attachments will transfer to the server.
