Announcements are used to deliver news or notifications to Service Portal users by displaying them on the Portal and/or via email.

When displaying on the Portal, announcements list is located at the Announcements area and it appears as shown below:

Announcement types

In SimpleOne, announcements typification is based on several criterions:

• urgency (for the announcements related to Change Requests);
• notification requirements (for the announcements related to Incidents);
• clarity (for the general requirements).

So there are several announcement types in SimpleOne:

• Recovery;
• Completion Recovery;
• Maintenance;
• Urgent Maintenance;
• General Information.
